This little beauty was nonchalantly growing by itself out of one of the pots with bright pink flowers.
A suburban back-yard rainforest garden in Melbourne, Australia. Designed to be a serene surprise, this mixture of crazy paving, garden beds and wine barrels is based around rainforest, tropical and sub-tropical plants, miniature citrus trees and berries.

Day 240 - 3 May 2016 (Surveying the scene ...)
The garden is enjoying the cooler weather and the autumn rains. It is also looking more lush with the addition of a variety of other plants, in keeping with the rainforest theme, to add a variety of heights and textures. The Black Mondo has been reorganised to form a border along the garden edge at regular intervals. The golden leaves everywhere have been shed by the large Ash tree in the back yard.
Day 196 - 20 March 2016 (Beautiful berries)
Even though the blueberry harvest finished during summer, the strawberries have continued to flourish.
Day 188 - 12 March 2016 (A long hot summer ...)
Despite a number of disconcertingly hot days over summer, the garden survived largely intact. It also benefited from the installation of a soaker hose system (components courtesy of Aldi and Bunnings).
